Position Summary/Description:
This Postdoctoral Trainee position is available through a T32 training program, designed to train promising early career investigators. The Postdoctoral Trainee will be involved with independent research, including project development, experimental design, data analysis, as well as written progress and manuscript generation and will receive one-on-one training by mentors in the field of lung biology and virology. This position will focus on the use of in vitro (human nasal and bronchial cells) and in vivo (mice, hamsters) models of asthma, and cystic fibrosis to elucidate mechanisms of respiratory viral infection ( SARS -CoV-2, RSV , influenza), identification of virulence factors and targets for therapeutic intervention.
Education and Experience:
Graduate-level coursework in biological sciences; quantitative biological and chemical expertise; scientific method and experimental design/interpretation.
