Job description
$140,000 - $180,000 Per Year + 20% BONUS + PAID RELOCATION
The Production Operations Manager is accountable for leading the team in the manufacture of Industrial, Automotive and Packaging liquid paint products in accordance with established criteria of safety, quality, training, delivery and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Influence - Manages a team of Production professionals and indirect union hourly production employees. Critical aspect of this role is to lead with Safety while optimally influencing and engaging employees and developing teams to drive efficient manufacturing through continuous process improvement efforts to achieve desired business results.
- Drive Change - Production Analysis – Understand how to summarize production data into recognizable trends, develop new reporting techniques, establish monthly estimates, and ensure production data and performance is accurately analyzed. Take action on the data and analysis so that your team is delivering optimally.
- Ensure Compliance – Ensure your team complies with the requirements of the EHS Management & Quality Management systems.
- Problem Solving- at all levels of the operation relating to safety, production, training, quality and other issues
- Ensure continuous improvement is occurring utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Quality Tools and other processes.
- Coordinates/develops the department’s Safety Action Plan, development of operating budget, initiates and assist with projects needed for improvements in production, waste minimization, safety and other areas
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required with experience in leading a manufacturing team, Engineering or related technical degree, is preferred with MBA a plus Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred (Greenbelt or Blackbelt).
- 7+ years of significant accomplishments in complex manufacturing operation.
Candidate Must Have :
- 7+ years within complex manufacturing operations
- 4 year degree (graduate degree and/or Lean/Six Sigma preferred
