We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Desktop Support Technicians in the Macon, GA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Support: Provide hands-on desktop support to customers within assigned locations. We're seeking candidates who can work on-site and deliver exceptional support experiences.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Diagnose and resolve end-user workstation and peripheral problems both remotely and in person. Your problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations.
- Application Compliance: Ensure that end-user applications and equipment are in compliance with policies, procedures, and rules, keeping everything running smoothly.
- Network Support: Install and support network devices that are crucial to business operations, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our network.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Perform end-user data backup and recovery, paying meticulous attention to detail to safeguard critical information.
- Equipment Management: Process surplus equipment following established procedures, including proper sanitization up to DoD standards.
- Ticket Management: Open, document, and track problem tickets, escalating to appropriate workgroups when required. Maintain organized and accurate records of reported issues.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop hardware and software, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
- Special Projects: Provide support for special projects, including the setup, breakdown, and relocation of computer equipment and peripherals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in desktop support or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both remote and on-site problem resolution.
- Knowledge of network devices and their support.
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures.
- Ability to follow equipment management and sanitization protocols.
