Civil Engineer (Land Development)
Our rapidly growing engineering firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with a focus on land development to join our dynamic team in TX. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license and bring a wealth of knowledge in civil engineering principles, project management, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage land development projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability and compliance with local regulations.
- Design and prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to optimize project design and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Oversee construction activities, conduct site inspections, and address any issues that may arise during the construction phase.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of TX.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Strong understanding of local and state regulations related to land development.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
