1. Ability to perform a list of tasks on a daily basis with little or no direct supervision.
2. Responsible for maintaining a clean, clutter free, organized, and safe working environment for Prime Inc. mechanics.
3. Ability to follow daily check lists while inspecting company fork lifts and scissor lifts and making minor repairs as necessary.
4. Must be proficient in driving a fork lift and be licensed within 30 days of hire date.
5. Must have a class E license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire date.
6. Ability to perform minor welding, grinding, and some mechanical experience a plus.
7. Must be willing to be a team player and perform tasks at a pace that promotes an efficient environment for on duty mechanics.
8. Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather; Hot, Cold, Rainy, Snowy, etc.
9. Must have a positive attitude and good attendance.
10. Primary goal for position it to create a clean shop environment that is free of hazards for our shop associates. Special projects that improve shop efficiency or create a safer shop environment are also daily tasks associated with this position.
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge
Mechanical experience is a plus.
Abilities
Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required. Ability to obtain basic hand tools and storage are requirements for this position.
Experience, Education, and Training
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This position requires constant standing, handling, and forward reaching; frequent head turning, bending, side reaching and pinching. The candidate will need to lift and carry 100lbs, push 50lbs, and pull 100lbs.
Working Environment
Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Licensing/Certification
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.
Miscellaneous Requirements
Candidate must be able to pass a physical through Carr Physical Therapy prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
