Job description
LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading CPG service provider based in the southern suburbs of Pennsylvania. Our client is looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their headquarters and assist in the center of excellence. The right professional will have prior experience within indirect procurement through purchase order management, supplier management and inventory resolution.
Procurement Buyer Responsibilities:
Generate and manage purchase orders following organizational policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to confirm order specifications, quantities and delivery timelines
Stay informed about market trends, industry developments and emerging technologies
Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and assess competitiveness
Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality standards
Continuously evaluate existing contracts and agreements for cost reduction opportunities
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms
Work closely with legal and compliance teams for contract compliance and risk mitigation
Collaborate with various departments (operations, finance, project management) to understand procurement needs
Align procurement activities with overall business objectives
Develop and implement supplier performance metrics for assessment and monitoring
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and take corrective actions as needed
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain (disruptions, quality issues, geopolitical factors)
Procurement Buyer Requirements:
1+ years of procurement experience
Experience utilizing Coupa is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management or related field is preferred
