Join a professional trail crew working across New England installing stone staircases, stone walls, machine-built trails, hand-built trails, bridges, boardwalks and more. Crew travels throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts although many projects are based in Central Vermont.
Requirements include:
- Minimum 2 years experience in trail construction, stone masonry, landscaping or other outdoor manual labor
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and put in long days of intensive manual labor
- Ability to be an effective member of a small team, communicating and coordinating with team members
- Ability to work outdoors in the woods unsupervised and occasionally alone.
- Flexibility to travel as needed. Notice will be given for traveling longer distances for 'away' projects
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Lodging provided for projects outside of central Vermont operating area
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, ability to learn and respond to feedback, ability to perform high quality work efficiently within given timelines and while adapting to exterior condiitons
- Love of the outdoors
Compensation:
