Sound good? (We think so, too!) Here's what you would do
- Implement games, crafts, sports, songs and more within the established guidelines.
- Nurture children while building achievement and belonging.
- Supervise the children, classroom or site, and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate.
- Make ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to address children's behavioral concerns.
- Encourage positive social skills and appropriate behavior by example
"I can do this!" What are the requirements?
- Minimum 16 years old
- Basic knowledge of acceptable child care and day camp practices.
- Demonstrates initiative to plan, lead and participate in activities.
- Certifications (must be maintained and current at all times ):
- Either in person or blended learning Pediatric CPR & First Aid certifications through either: American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor / indoor settings.
- This position may require the ability to stand and / or sit for extended periods of time, wade in water in order to supervise children, able to walk continuously at least ½ mile, spend a full workday outdoors in any weather condition.
