Job description
Local trucking company looking for a Dispatcher for outbound and inbound freight. Monday through Friday 8:00a to 4:00p with some on call status for driver emergency's.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including assigning drivers and vehicles for deliveries
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as McLeod to enter orders and track shipments
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Collaborate with fleet management to optimize routes and maximize efficiency
