Job description
Our Kitchen Shift Lead supervises shifts and/or work areas to ensure the restaurant meets operational goals and mentors team members to ensure high quality products and customer service standards.
Duties:
- Actively participate in day-to-day activities in a high volume, fast paced restaurant.
- Assist in training and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, set the tone for a shift and act as a role model for our team.
- Offer prompt problem resolution for guest and employee issues/concerns during shift.
- Comply with and enforce all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Perform all station duties, including open/close procedures.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and shift coverage as needed.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of restaurant work experience in a leadership role.
- Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- Skilled in problem solving, multi-tasking, decision making, leadership, time-management, customer service and conflict-resolution.
- Flexible work availability.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
