Job description
The Clinical Resource Coordinator is a health care professional who provides staff orientation and ensures nursing staff competence. The Clinical Resource Coordinator accomplishes this through assessing, organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the practice standards in the assigned units in collaboration with the Unit Managers. The individual assumes direct teaching responsibilities for all levels of personnel, both professional and non-professional, as well as, patients and their families on their assigned units.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in clinical specialty. Demonstrated leadership skills; team builder, superior communication skills. Prior teaching experience, preferred. Education and Training: Masters Degree in Nursing or Education preferred. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or health-related field required. License, Certification and Registration: Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in NY State. Special certification in appropriate field. Other Requirements: Demonstrated competence in clinical specialty area. Demonstrated understanding of adult teaching/learning principles. Meets requirements established by Employee Health Services. Possesses communication and leadership skills, exhibits creativity, integrity, initiative, motivation and flexibility.
