Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Leads the golf staff in the daily golf operations of the facility, delivering a professional and consistent guest service experience at The Bath Golf Club.
Pro Shop Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily tee sheet management, guest check-in, fee collections, and answering phones.
- Exhibits strong salesmanship both in aligning customers with relevant retail products and in generating revenues via proactive membership sales.
- Responsible for accuracy and management of the POS.
- Maintains proficiency in cash handling and processing of daily deposits.
- Ensures the Golf Shop sales floor and counter are organized, clean and inviting on a daily basis.
- Ensures the golf car operation and practice facilities are maintained and presentable.
- Assists in the daily management of golf staff including: payroll, scheduling, documentation, and task management.
- Assists in the daily/monthly inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders.
- Provides support in all procedures of merchandising, which include buying, receiving, pricing, displaying, and selling.
- Assists in developing, motivating, and coaching employees according to facility policies and procedures.
- Enforces pace of play policies and acts as first tee starter as necessary.
- Assists with Rules of Golf applications when required by facility or guests.
- Is aware of the overall scheduling of the facility to ensure that members, guests, tournament functions, etc. do not pose any conflicts.
- Enforces the policies, rules and regulations of The Bath Golf Club.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Tournament and League Responsibilities
- Helps organize Men's, Women’s and Junior Golf Events and Programs.
- Helps organize member tournament operations and weekly events as directed.
- Coordinates the scheduling of outside tournaments and events.
- Is aware of the overall scheduling of the facility to ensure that members, guests, tournament functions, etc. do not pose any conflicts.
Experience Required
- Experience in the golf industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Exhibits willingness to work required shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Possesses an engaging, positive, and highly motivated personality.
- Has strong attention to detail.
- Has excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Has the ability to be on their feet for the majority of their shift and lift up to 25 lbs. as part of daily duties.
- Is moderately proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Google Workspace.
- Is comfortable with regular communication both verbally and via email.
