Job Description
CLINICAL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR, Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR) ( , to assume responsibility for the oversight, organization, and administration of the CCTR and serve as a resource to all researchers (investigators). Supervise and mentor all CCTR staff. Will oversee and identify research resources and promote interdisciplinary translational research and team science; develop in-depth knowledge of all MIT community resources and institutional/practice cultural nuances and how they may impact collaborations; connect researchers with cutting-edge resources, emerging technologies, and other investigators across disciplines/institutions; help translate concepts into well-designed and successful study protocols; and facilitate clinical and translational research. Responsibilities will include clinical oversight of all CCTR-related research activities; infrastructure and foundation planning; ensuring regulatory support and adherence to national guidelines and regulations (Common Rule); providing policy and operational leadership; tracking and communicating milestones/accomplishments to senior research leadership; mentoring and overseeing graduate/undergraduate students; collaborating with the local, national, and global research community including academic medical centers, industry, and government agencies; and performing other duties as needed.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Master’s degree or MSN; active NP license; five years’ clinical practice experience; clinical research experience; in-depth knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP) and Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects ('Common Rule'); current Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) certification and BLS certification or commitment to recertify them within thirty-days of hire; and discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues. Must maintain active clinical license and all continuing education requirements for licensure and remain current in the disciplines of translational research, team science, clinical research nursing or medical research science, and general center management.
