Master of Financial Engineering (MFE). The curriculum and program structure adapt rapidly to meet the needs of the firms and industries where our graduates will work. Faculty, many of them pioneers in finance, integrate their most current research into course offerings, ensuring their instruction is immediately relevant. The MFE program offers curriculum that stays ahead of the curve and ensures that our graduates are on the leading edge of the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a range of careers.

Job Summary:

The Executive Director of the Masters in Financial Engineering (MFE) Program owns the leadership and operational oversight of the program to outside organizations, and to Haas faculty, staff, and students. Ranked among the top programs of its kind globally, the MFE serves diverse learners representing about a dozen countries. The Executive Director is responsible for establishing and executing strategies and goals for the MFE Program as well as overseeing the program's entire student lifecycle: admissions, student services, careers and alumni. The Executive Director works with the Finance Faculty to develop and implement program curriculum. This position engages with industry leaders to deepen and create new relationships to enhance career opportunities for MFE students.

Responsibilities

Directs and administers an independent programmatic responsibility.


Establishes and deepens relationships with the financial and fintech sector, including employers, to inform curriculum decisions, contribute to student placement in internships and full-time positions, solicit industry projects for students, and identify and assess prospective lecturers.




Manages financial and HR resources, and MFE program staff focused on admissions, academic and student experience, and career placement.




Leads efforts of various departments and managers to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration. Faculty Engagement & Curriculum Planning:


Identifies and pursues funding opportunities and revenue streams.


Leads necessary efforts to recommend changes to program's content, policies and procedures to align with best practices of top business schools.


Serves on committees representing the program, participating in short term and long term planning.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.


The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $105,500.00 - $167,000.00
