Job description
ForeSite Design & Construction, Inc., an established commercial general contractor in Gilbert, AZ, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join our team of talented construction professionals.
Top candidates will also have an interest in taking on Project Engineer responsibilities to fully support our project management team, assisting in the coordination and execution of diverse commercial construction projects in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Simultaneous projects to be managed are typically under $7MM and may include renovations, out-of-the-ground buildings, historic preservation and adaptations, park projects, and a diverse range of municipal/governmental facility improvements. Project delivery method is primarily negotiated JOC, CMAR and Design/Build.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibility:
The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting projects in timely contracts through setup, procurement, and course-of-construction administration ensuring client satisfaction.
Sr. Project Coordinator:
- Process appropriate subcontract documents and monitor compliance.
- Maintain flow of documentation to ensure prompt payments to Subcontractors, this includes Owner and Subcontractor change orders.
- Track and distribute current construction documents.
- Work with Superintendents to rent dumpsters, fencing, storage containers, and other field needs.
- Process sensitive personal information for various Project Owners for required background check applications for ForeSite and subcontractor employees.
- Obtain closeout subcontractor documents, and prepare closeout documents to be provided to the client as required by contract documents.
- Assist in pre-construction bidding by distributing documents and soliciting bids.
- Expedite and track subcontractor submittals.
- Obtain samples requiring approvals.
- Responsible for some office management activities.
- Assist Project Managers in the administration of construction projects.
- Document control.
- Quality control.
- Aid in scheduling, cost reporting, administrative problem solving.
- Shop drawing/submittal review and control.
- Material and equipment procurement.
- Process RFI’s with help from PM / Superintendent.
- Assist Pre-Construction with subcontractor/supplier solicitation and other assigned tasks.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements:
- Reside within 20-30 minutes from ForeSite's Office
- Ability to work successfully with various owner personalities and management styles
- Strong focus on internal and external client service
- Strong time management and organizational abilities

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and time management skills.
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of Commercial general contracting project management, contract administration, and accounting principles relating to the construction industry
- Understanding of lien waivers and certificates of insurance
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with project Stakeholders
- Understanding of construction sequence.
- Understanding of Owner and Subcontractor contracts.
- Understanding of construction budgets.
- Experience with commercial general contracting is highly desirable.
- Computer skills are essential.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with project management software. Sage 300 a plus
- PDF file creating and editing
- A pre-employment background check is required for security clearance.
- A pre-employment drug screen is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Construction, Engineering, or another related field degree, preferred but not required
