Job description
An exciting growth opportunity has just opened for a Nurse Manager Surgical Services located in San Francisco, CA just minutes away from the beautiful Golden Gate bridge.
This high-level regional hospital is looking for a strong, experienced Nurse Manager to overlook a busy, high energy Surgical Department. They will join a team that boasts a 24-hour Emergency Room, a Platinum Performance Award receiving Heart and Vascular Center, and a Transplant Center that has performed more than 6,000 kidney transplants, 2,000 liver transplants and nearly 500 heart transplants over a span of five decades.
The Nurse Manager Surgical Services will report directly to the Director of Surgical Services and oversee operations in the pre, intra, and postoperative areas. They will work in collaboration with leadership to ensure the patients receive high quality, efficient care in a safe environment.
Supporting a high volume Surgery Department, the Nurse Manager will lead a bustling team of highly motivated surgical staff including Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, and staff to help assist in world renowned surgeries performed by some of the top surgeons in the area.
The Surgery Nurse Manager will influence their staff to work at the top of their scope of practice providing a standard of care set by such a prestigious surgery department. They will act as a resource and provide guidance in complex situations. This manager will also ensure that all regulatory standards required by The Joint Commission are met.
