About This Role
As the Associate Director, Medical Operations and Innovation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and owning critical medical operation systems within the US Medical team. Reporting directly to the Head of Medical Strategy, Operations, and Excellence (North America Medical), you will own the digital strategy and implementation efforts across US Medical, lead the strategy and design of key US medical operational systems, and support the strategy and execution efforts of the US Neuropsychiatry medical team.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the plan, design, and implementation of medical initiatives across US Medical particularly in the context of digital initiatives such as artificial intelligence (AI), omni channel design, and other digital solutions.
- Lead and support several initiatives and the ongoing maintenance of systems and process to enable field teams, the medical directors’ offices, as well as health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) teams.
- Provide strategy and execution support to the head of the US Medical Neuropsychology team and the leadership team. This includes strategic support for items such as goal setting and budget management as well as tactical support such as goal tracking, coordinating meetings, and follow up on critical actions.
- Lead and oversee the strategy, design, and system maintenance of critical medical operation systems, such as medical education programs, communication hubs, external engagement support and material review.
- Own the end-to-end processes associated with medical operations and support the execution of them. This may include training field teams, supporting field system updates and creating dashboards.
- Cross-train to support all members of the medical strategy, operations, and excellence team which will include becoming proficient in medical field systems, therapeutic area strategies, the operational excellence portfolio, and operational execution activities
- Provide support across all of US Medical in critical areas like field systems (Veeva), medical research, vendor management, communication portals, and project management.

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (MS, MBA, MD, PhD, PharmD preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical affairs, operations, vendor or contract management, research operations, budget management, or related fields.
- Strong project/program management skills, organizational abilities, and leadership qualities (PMP or equivalent certification preferred).
- Digital innovation experience with preferred experience in executing projects related to artificial intelligence or omni channel
- Proven experience leading and overseeing the execution of critical operational systems, with a focus on strategy and design.
- Creation and management of SOPs and guidance documentation, including experience in training for such documents.
Preferred Skills
- Proven business acumen is preferred via MBA or hands on experience
- Previous medical affairs experience, particularly with field systems (e.g. Veeva) as an MSL and/or in medical operations
