Job description
Role: EndPoint Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX/Irvine, CA (hybrid)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports endpoint deployment of next generation loanDepot technology (Mac, PC, and Mobile). Coordinates deployment efforts with various IT teams to ensure solutions are fully tested and deployed enterprise-wide.
- Designs, builds, tests, secures, and documents all workstation and endpoint build standards.
- Participates on project teams as a resource representing Endpoint Engineering and IT Operations.
- Designs Office 365 ProPlus and Windows 11/10 Servicing standards. Creates design and deployment documentation for use by Endpoint Engineering, Service Desk, and Technical Services.
- Ensures OS, security, and application lifecycle updates are consistently deployed on a 30-day cycle. Leverages SCCM\Intune, and other data sources to build executive reports to measure compliance.
- Develops processes and procedures related to PC lifecycle management including procurement, break/fix support, disposal, and asset tracking.
- Serves as one of two SCCM subject matter experts (Reporting, Packaging, Windows 10 Servicing, and Security). Provides expert level configuration, reporting, and integration with Azure Active Directory/Intune.
- Leverages expertise in software packaging and deployment to improve software distribution end user experience.
- Executes, documents, and maintains Endpoint security standards in line with IT security policies through GPO and other security tools.
- Uses SCCM to manage and report on software license utilization.
- Creates VDI baseline build standards and images. Provides mid-level support for the Citrix VDI and the Azure Virtual Workspace environment.
- Works closely with Citrix Engineer and Architect to implement VDI best practices and optimize user experience
- Takes part in upgrading Citrix infrastructure and all related components
- Defines endpoint hardware standards. Creates and publishes hardware lifecycle support and refresh timelines.
- Gathers and analyzes project requirements. Builds delivery timelines and project plans with delegated tasks that can be executed by other engineers on the team. Communicates and provides feedback on project progress and ensures that progress and issues are summarized for leadership.
- Uses data and operational metrics to analyse project and task results. Creates reports and charts to track progress and measures trends in the environment. Leverages data and reporting tools to make data-driven decisions about projects and tasks.
- Defines enterprise printing standards. Manages printer fleet using PrinterLogic. Ensures that PrinterLogic is up-to-date, highly available, and running a fully supported build.
- Manages the Endpoint Engineering server infrastructure (including SCCM cloud distribution points).
- Manages the loanDepot Systems Center Orchestrator infrastructure and runbooks.
- Serves as tier 3 escalation point for Service Desk and Technical Services teams. Brokers conversations about improving Endpoint Engineering services used by Service Desk and Technical Services.
- Engages with other IT support teams including Network Engineering, Enterprise Infrastructure, Service Desk, IT Security, and Technical Services to ensure a consistent approach for organizational support across the Enterprise.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
- Bachelor s Degree preferred and a minimum of five (5) + years experience using PowerShell to automate tasks, deploy application, and write reports required.
- Minimum of five (5) + years working with multiple operating systems; Windows desktop and server, Mac, Linux, etc.
- Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.
- Hands-on experience packaging and deploying Office 365 ProPlus, OneDrive, and other technologies used to migrate traditional on-premises workloads to the cloud required.
- Experience automating migration of unstructured (file server) data to OneDrive required.
- Experience with Windows Servicing and management using Intune required.
- Experience delivering endpoint protection, encryption, and cloud MDM required.
- Experience supporting/administering a virtual workspace environment running on VMware vSphere and Citrix XenDesktop required.
- Significant experience managing remote endpoints on and off the corporate LAN required.
- Experience creating deployment test plans, test cases, managing deployment groups, and soliciting feedback from pilot users. General understanding of software development, agile, CI/CD required
