Job description
SVP is looking to hire an IT Field Administrator to help build out, maintain, and
troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. As an IT Field Administrator,
you would assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of network
infrastructure, Windows Server OS, and Windows Desktop computers.
To ensure success as an IT Field Administrator, you should have experience
maintaining large-scale computer systems, creating and maintaining servers
(virtual and/or physical), experience with networking systems, and excellent
troubleshooting skills. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems
quickly. This team member should also be able to communicate with various
interdisciplinary teams and users.
Responsibilities
- Managing and Maintaining all installed systems and infrastructure
- Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining computer/server operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Designing and installing computer and server hardware configurations
- Troubleshooting network and software issues
- Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues
- Ensuring OS software is kept up to date and maintained
- Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Install equipment and software to meet client needs.
- Travel On-site during deployment supporting team performing Network Infrastructure replacement, Migrate Server to new equipment, and replace desktop workstations.
- Train client staff on how to use new systems
- Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches.
- On weeks with no travel, document processes, support remote networks, support remote servers, and project planning for upcoming travel.
- Building positive relationships with customers
- Cooperating with technical teams and sharing information across the organization·
- Producing detailed Post-Deployment reports
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages (Hardware & Software)
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train team members on new technologies
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of computer/server hardware systems
- Knowledge of general OS systems
- Knowledge of LAN and wireless networks
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues
- Experience with monitoring systems
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware)
- Some scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts)
- Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Aptitude to maintain and build Hyper Visors
- This role involves 50-80% travel for onsite deployments
