Assisting with the Menu development, standardization, and execution
Proper downsizing and labeling of all products
Ensure that the highest quality of food leaves the kitchen
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen
Collect all dishes, cutlery, and glasses
Clean kitchen tools and appliances thoroughly before use
Ensure all dishes, cutlery, and glasses are thoroughly cleansed and stored in the appropriate space
Maintain the kitchen by cleaning floors, storage areas, and taking out the garbage
Adhere to Steam Whistle's Service standards and policies
Follow all Steam Whistle's Health & Safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required by Chef
You will be offered 4 - 5 shifts per week, including some weekends and evenings. Our restaurant is open 11am to 10pm daily. Skills and Experience Required:
Comprehensive knowledge of food, wine, and beer
Physically fit as long periods of standing, lifting and moving kitchen items
Strong organizational skills
Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
Team player, collaborative, detail-focused
Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
