Job Summary

The Credentialing Assistant will be responsible for initiating, the credentialing process of new hire providers, monitor and update provider licenses and certifications and provide support to the Credentialing team as requested.. This person will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system and related applications.

What you will do in this role

• Review information submitted for new hire requests and initiate credentialing file for all providers
• Initiate credentialing process by creating provider profiles in credentialing system
• Conduct provider background checks and upload results to provider profiles
• Upload documents and organize folders within credentialing files for all providers
• Track license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
• Manage and respond to emails for the credentialing and enrollment departments
• Facilitate requests for case logs, working with billing company to ensure timely responses
• Assist with delegated credentialing audits?; conduct internal file audits. ?
• Work well in a team environment.
• Other duties or special projects as assigned

What qualifications you will need

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college courses preferred.
• 4 years or more of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare related field
• Provide proactive administrative support to the Credentialing Team (Credentialing Managers and Credentialing Specialists)
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff and contacts outside the organization.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient and accurate in data entry.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong personal motivation with ability to work with little supervision and attention to detail while working in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple levels within the company.
• Must maintain confidentiality of all provider information and company documents.
