We are looking for a recruiter for our Long Term Foster Care Team to recruit foster homes to provide long-term care for unaccompanied minors.

Do you have a Bachelors degree in community organization, social work or related field? Spanish Bilingual Preferred! .

 

 

About the Team

 

The long term foster care program is designed to provide safe, loving care for unaccompanied minors who have come to the US in search of safety, arriving from countries all over the world, but the majority are Central American countries. Youth in this program do not usually have a family member living in the US with whom they can reunify.  The role will recruit foster homes to provide long-term care for unaccompanied minors (primarily from the southern border. 

 

This position involves field work out in the community regularly to recruit foster parents. Hosting events and partnering with community organizations such as churches to recruit foster parents

Hybrid Remote Work Environment. Day Shift, Monday -Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM including rotational weekends and holidays. Annual Salary $43,848.00

Builds resources and capacity to increase the ability to accept placements and expand services provided for Refugee Programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Devise, implement and evaluate strategies and recruitment plan to assure adequate foster homes, providers and interpreters.
  2. Initiate contact with public entities and interested parties to recruit prospective foster parents, per strategy.
  3. Establish and maintain a current contact file with recruitment sources, prospective foster homes data files, and mailing lists.
  4. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with religious/community groups and key individuals to increase awareness of need for foster parents and organization's services.
  5. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of recruitment strategies; compile statistical data related to service delivery outcomes and measurements. Provide reports and data as requested.
  6. Develop and circulate promotional materials in coordination with Communications and supervisor.
  7. Collaborate with Communications and supervisor to craft press releases promoting foster care awareness and recruitment.
  8. Create and present presentations that promote foster care awareness and recruitment to public groups, under supervisor guidance. 
  9. Participate in conferences, program planning, and outcomes.
