Job description
Title Electrical Product Design Engineer
Location Onsite, Dayton, OH
As an Electrical Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and improving current and future products. The influence you will have on the creation of new products and how customers interact with them is immense and will require the thorough and thoughtful design of a creative individual. It is a requirement that you actively collaborate as a part of a fast paced multidisciplinary team.
You will be joining a startup minded team at the ground level with incredible future potential. This is NOT your typical electrical engineering role, it is a multifaceted role that requires excellence in robotic and machine tool electrical interfaces, solving complex technical challenges, an eagerness for learning new things, and ultimately an attitude towards developing world class products that our customers love. You will be the primary driver towards designing world class electrical systems into AWR products to facilitate incredible experiences for our customers
Essential Responsibilities
-Develop scalable electrical architecture that is consistent across the product lineup and built for future growth and customization
-Collaborate with customers, vendors, and the design team to optimize for performance and value
-As a part of the product design team, you will work on the border of risk, proactively communicating with the product team and customers to quickly establish a design direction, test prototypes, and scale our products
Essential Qualifications
-Expertise at efficient creation of clear and meticulous electrical prints
-Experience in a product development environment with a portfolio demonstrating excellence and elegance
-Experience and a passion for creating robust electro/mechanical systems
-Excellent personal and interpersonal communication skills
-Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and set personal priorities
-Ability to occasionally visit vendors, customers, or other stakeholders critical to product feedback and design improvement
