Job Description:
As an Operations Manager - Procurement, you will be tasked with a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to drive analytical success in one of our largest food and beverage clients in North America. Your role will involve building, reviewing, tracking, forecasting, and adjusting intra-company shipments using SAP, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful customer promotion execution and resolve logistical issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize SAP to build, review, track, forecast, and adjust intra-company shipments, and communicate deployment forecasts to Transportation and Warehousing teams.
2. Analyze SAP DRP parameters to optimize auto load building capabilities and enhance efficiency.
3. Collaborate with Supply Chain Managers, Integrated Planning, Transportation, and Warehousing teams to ensure successful customer promotion execution and resolve event-specific issues.
4. Interface with Transportation and Warehousing groups and 3PL personnel to resolve issues with intra-company shipments and near-term warehousing capacity constraints.
5. Communicate potential customer service issues/risks to Customer Supply Chain Managers, Customer Service, and Integrated Planning teams, providing projected availability and short-term solutions.
6. Develop a functional understanding of warehousing capacity, procedures, and inbound/outbound planning processes to enable effective warehouse capacity management and adherence to ship/arrival dates.
7. Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements in deployment planning for assigned areas.
8. Optimize freight expenses by selecting optimal modes of transportation and minimizing inventory at forward distribution centers while improving customer service.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Relevant experience in production scheduling, inventory management, supply operations planning, or supply chain-related areas.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with SAP or other Planning Software.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and general knowledge of other office applications.
• Strong change management, networking, and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and execution abilities.
• Collaborative management and working style.
• Effective communication skills.
