Confectioner - Kitchen Production Specialist

We are looking for a talented MIPs Production Specialist with a focus on manufacturing Marijuana Infused Products, including chocolates, gummies, and other confections. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MIPs production, expertise in titration processes (including active ingredient dosing), and a commitment to maintaining high production standards. This role involves close collaboration with the Production Manager and leadership to meet production goals and ensure product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• MIPs Production: Utilize expertise in MIPs production, including chocolate tempering, molding, and coating, to manufacture premium products. Formulate and create a variety of MIPs, adhering to quality standards.
• Titration Processes and Active Ingredient Dosing: Apply titration techniques, including active ingredient dosing, to measure and control factors critical to product quality. Collaborate with the Production Manager to optimize formulations and maintain consistency in active ingredient levels.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process MIPs, and finished products. Implement corrective actions to maintain product integrity and meet quality specifications.
• Recipe Development: Work closely with the Production Manager to develop and refine MIPs recipes. Experiment with flavors, textures, and ingredients to innovate and enhance our MIPs offerings.
• Kitchen Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following sanitation protocols.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in MIPs production, with expertise in chocolate and gummy/candy manufacturing.
• Knowledge of titration processes, including active ingredient dosing, and their application in MIPs manufacturing.
• Creativity and innovation in recipe development and product improvement.
• Understanding of quality control measures in the MIPs industry.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in production processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with the Production Manager and leadership.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds and regularly move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to use their hands to finger to perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips.
