Job Summary: Under supervision, incumbents perform basic
professional Student Services work characterized by continuing assignments in which the primary work processes and tasks assigned follow
well established work procedures. This classification encompasses a trainee level (Range A) and a fully developed working level (Range B).
While the duties performed at both levels will be similar, employees possessing little or no experience will be placed in Range A and will
function, with closer supervision, in a trainee capacity for approximately six months to twelve months (not to exceed twelve months). Upon
successful completion of the training, the incumbent is expected to be able to perform the duties of the Student Services Professional I,
Range B classification under general supervision. Employees in Range B will be expected to perform with greater independence and under
general supervision in performing the duties encompassed by this classification.
Minimum Qualifications: - Range A: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a
job-related field (specialized and relevant experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis); working
knowledge of the basic principles of individual and group behavior, research and observation techniques for the purpose of recording,
classifying, and interpreting factual information, techniques and methods of interviewing. Ability to gather and analyze data; ability to
reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate commendations; ability to participate in and contribute to group meetings,
conferences, and interviews; ability to clearly express ideas and recommendations orally; ability to write clear and concise reports;
ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Range B: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in
one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field (specialized and relevant experience may
substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis) AND one year of experience in professional Student Services work at the
entry trainee level (Equivalent amounts of graduate-level; job-related education may be substituted for the required experience). Working
knowledge of the methods/problems of organization and program management, research/interviewing techniques, and principles of
individual/group behavior. Ability to interpret and apply program rules/regulations, gather/analyze data and reason logically, draw valid
conclusions and make appropriate recommendations, present clear and concise information orally and in written reports, acquire knowledge of
the campus procedures and activities and the overall organization, establish and maintain cooperative working
relationships.

Compensation: The salary range for this classification is $ 3,764.00 to $ 4,604.00/month.
The
hourly range for this classification is $21.72 to $26.56.

Compensation: The salary range for this classification is $ 4,066.00 to $ 5,752.00/month.
The hourly range for this
classification is $23.46 to $33.18.

The salary offered will take into account internal equity and experience among other
factors.
Position Information: Work status: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Hourly, On-Call, Intermittent

* A pool of qualified candidates will
