Job description
A consulting company is looking for a parttime payroll specialist to start immediately. Their HR team is currently handling payroll so they want someone to come in and take over all payroll responsibilities. This is a remote opportunity and this person would be processing payroll for 150 employees across 26 states. You would be reporting directly to the HR Manager and working 1015 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations
Maintain payroll records and documentation
Calculate and process employee deductions benefits and garnishments
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or discrepancies
Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
Assist with yearend payroll processes including W2 preparation
Stay uptodate with changes in payroll regulations and best practices
Strong knowledge of payroll processes including debits and credits doubleentry bookkeeping and account reconciliation
Proficiency in using payroll software such as ADP
Familiarity with technical accounting principles related to payroll
Ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies
Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and procedures
