Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Remote Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The Data Entry Clerk will play a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, appointments, and other administrative tasks essential to the smooth operation of our eyecare center.
Responsibilities:
- Enter patient demographics, medical history, insurance information, and other relevant data into electronic health records (EHR) system with precision and efficiency.
- Verify accuracy of data entered and make any necessary corrections or updates as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Assist with organizing and filing paper documents and records as necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of data entry tasks.
- Communicate effectively with staff and patients to obtain any missing or incomplete information required for data entry.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data entry or related administrative roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent typing skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other office software applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations.
