As a Business Analyst/Product Owner at Valorem Reply, you have demonstrated success in the following:
You are a strategic consultant, working with your customers to understand their business, their current problems, and their future opportunities.
You have demonstrated the ability to see the “Big Picture”, driving positive changes within your customer’s organization and building trust along the way.
You are a liaison between your customer’s product vision and the agile delivery teams, ensuring that teams understand the product roadmap and vision.
You think iteratively, embracing agile practices to bring value to your customers quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision: Identify solutions that delight our customers and solve their problems. Proactively communicate, collaborate, and educate the team and client on solutions and the value that it provides for our clients.
- Generate product solutions: Be the product leader within the team, proactively communicating, collaborating, and educating to identify solutions that delight our customers.
- Elicit requirements: Elicit requirements and resolve conflicts using customer interviews, workshops, journey maps, personas, business cases, use cases, business process analysis, user feedback, analytics, etc.
- Own the product backlog: Organize, harmonize, critically evaluate, decompose, and simplify business needs into a set of prioritized, understandable, and technology agnostic features and user stories with acceptance criteria. Ensure the product backlog enables the agile team to deliver the maximum product value at the right time.
- Manage client expectations: Help our customers to understand the impact of changes to the product backlog on the delivery of product value. Be prepared and willing to negotiate changing priorities to ensure that the team continues to deliver value while maximizing the product capabilities requested by the client.
- Implement, Test, and Iterate: Support the implementation of the product. Evaluate the effectiveness of solutions to ensure solutions delight customers and solve problems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience working with clients and technical team members to generate and implement solutions to complex business problems; you aren’t an order-taker but a solution-generator
- 5 years working as an agile product owner
- 5 years working on web application development
- 3 years using design thinking to solve customer problems
- 3 years prioritizing and managing a team/product backlog
- 3 years leading user story refinement meetings
- 3 years writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- 3 years leading user facing workshops to identify and ideate on user needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Safe Product Owner and Product Manager (POPM)
- PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBI)
- Experience collaborating with a UX designer to generate UI mockups/wireframes
