Ben Hur offers a competitive salary and benefits. Starting pay for the Administrative Assistant position is based on education, experience and skill level. Starting pay $65,000 to $75,000 yearly . Core benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA, life insurance, company paid short-term and long-term disability, and 401K with match.

Summary:

This position provides administrative support for the Corporate Accounting Team in St Louis MO.

Responsibilities:

• Financial reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Project accounting: Assist in the tracking and reporting of project costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
• Cost analysis: Analyze project costs and variances to budget, providing insights to management to support decision-making.
• General ledger maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Month-end close: Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations .
• Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Tax compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities, including gathering documentation and supporting schedules.
• Internal controls: Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Audit support: Assist with external audits by providing documentation and support to auditors as needed.
• Process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

  Overall, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the commercial construction company, providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to support decision-making and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Advanced MS Outlook, Excel and Word skills
