Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a Senior Staff Research Engineer on behalf of Our Client. Position Overview: Our Client invites talented Senior Staff Research Engineers to join their innovative team. If you are passionate about acoustics and DSP, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge microphone and speaker technologies for advanced voice communication products. As a pivotal member of an entrepreneurial team, you will shape the future of communication systems globally, particularly in restaurant businesses. Responsibilities: Collaborate with experts in voice communication systems, signal processing, and radio technology to define, build, and demonstrate proof-of-concept systems. Develop and implement new signal processing algorithms to enhance communication capabilities. Provide training and consultation to design engineers working on communication systems. Use acoustics knowledge to educate colleagues. Implement and evaluate DSP algorithms, conduct user demonstrations, and document test results. Author reports and documentation describing technologies, algorithms, and software. Interface with customers at test sites to evaluate product viability. Stay updated on new technologies for innovative and cost-effective solutions. Qualifications for Success: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required. 10 years of experience in acoustics and signal processing. 5 years of experience implementing signal processing algorithms on DSP hardware. Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages. Ability to read, understand, and implement designs based on MATLAB, Octave, and Python examples. Clear and concise communication skills in English (both written and verbal). Knowledgeable about speech processing concepts. Familiarity with signal extraction and noise suppression concepts. Experience with debugging and troubleshooting using engineering instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers). College training in circuit design and analysis. Experience in developing prototype software. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, experience with image processing, and experience with Machine Learning or Deep Learning.
