Position Details:

Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing mentoring, thorough observations, and evaluations to assist early learning programs in achieving TRS certification.
Support star-rated Early Learning Programs in driving sustained change, self-directed quality improvement, and the operation of high-quality programs.
Offer Practice-Based Coaching and Technical Assistance using data, SMART goals-setting, and Continuous Quality Improvement Plans.
Collaborate with the Quality Initiatives Unit to support professional development needs by providing resources, recommending trainings, and facilitating high-quality training sessions.
Guide Early Learning Programs in identifying and applying for grant opportunities, as well as assisting with implementation of materials and equipment.
Participate in required professional development trainings mandated by the Texas Workforce Commission.
Maintain certification as a Non-Registered or Registered Texas Trainer and ensure all CLASS observer reliabilities are met.
Complete all necessary documentation related to mentoring within specified timeframes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Experience in early childhood education and mentoring/coaching.
Knowledge of Texas Rising Star program and quality improvement practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel extensively within the workforce delivery area.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends and Saturdays.
