Job description
The Events Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of events, managing approximately 75-100 annually. These events range in scale from hosting intimate dinners and on-site symposiums to coordinating Regional Sales Managers’ attendance at events ranging in size from small, localized tradeshows to larger state and national conferences. This role ensures seamless execution while aligning each event with the company's objectives and maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
Duties And Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Marketing and Sales Leadership and Field Sales: research, plan and execute a wide range of events, including dinners, tradeshows, site visits, conferences, and more, varying in size and scope.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external conference vendors to manage event registration, logistics (shipping and receiving), equipment, and onsite operations.
- Manage the CRM (Salesforce) event campaigns and collaborate with the Business Development Representative (BDR) Team on contact lists and lead generation (pre and post conference) opportunities.
- Manage all event and booth resources and inventory, including structural hardware, banners, signs, electronics, print materials, swag, gifts, etc.
- Be the project manager for all steps and processes, including maintaining a sharable conference calendar, processing inbound requests, and managing the necessary tasks for execution via the Marketing sprint board (Monday.com).
- In coordination with Leadership and cross-departmental leaders, plan and manage the Annual SmartLab Conference (ASC) for ~150-200 clients and staff.

Education and Experience Needed
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related focus preferred
- Minimum of four years marketing and/or sales experience
- Minimum of four years of hands-on experience in event management, successfully handling multiple events across varying scales, simultaneously
- Extremely organized with meticulous attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in budget management
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage numerous events concurrently
- Preferred background in sales or marketing to leverage insights into value proposition and lead generation
- Project management experience and familiarity with PMO tools (Monday.com, Jira, etc.)
