Controller – Job Summary:
We’re supporting our client, a leading global manufacturing company based in McConnelsville who are looking for a Controller to join their growing team. The successful Controller will have experience in cost accounting, inventory control, capital expenditure.
Salary: $115,000 – $135,000

Responsibilities:
- Active support of site management regarding all controlling, finance, and accounting topics, and the management of the business in general
- Internal business consultant: group-wide analyses, identification of potentials for optimization, recommendation of improvements measures and active involvement in execution of measures
- Management reporting on unit and site level with analysis and interpretation – monthly/quarterly/annually standard reports, ad hoc and special reports
- Operative planning on unit and site level with preparation, interpretation and communication of aggregated plans (budgets, forecasts, scenarios and contingency plans) – analytical and tool support of all staff during planning process
- Cost accounting: set up of (local) cost accounting and controlling systems (in accordance to Group standards) – set up and preparation of product calculations – cost (variance) analysis
- Investment planning, calculation & monitoring
- Management of site-specific projects
- Preparation, presentation, and discussion of all (work) results with site management team and at other hierarchy levels
- Safeguard the adherence of all site staff to group-wide controlling and finance policies and practice.
- Support of Group Controller and VP Controlling in definition and implementation of controlling standards and the further development of controlling tools
- Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system of controls over accounting transactions
About You:
- Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent computer skills as well as strong communication, technical writing, analytical, and presentation skills are a must.
- Knowledge and experience in cost accounting, inventory control, capital expenditure management, budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment is a plus.
