The Wisconsin Women's Correctional Center System is currently recruiting to fill a Corrections Food Service Leader 4 position. This position is based out of Milwaukee Women's Correctional Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Under the direction of the Center Superintendent, this position is responsible for the food service operation at the Milwaukee Women’s Correctional Center, provides support to the Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center (REECC) and Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility MSDF. Direct the production of meals; train and supervise inmate food service workers; plan meals and procure supplies; care for and clean kitchen equipment; maintain food inventory and proper sanitation standards. May work holidays and weekends, and other times as needed and/or directed. This position will use computer software in the preparation of food estimates. Travel will be required as needed to REECC and MSDF.
This position is in pay schedule/range 03-14 with a starting pay rate of $24.59/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensations Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks and DOC security checks (including internet, phone, and visitor log searches) on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
