Overview
Reporting directly to the COO, this Lean/Six Leader will be responsible for cultivating the Lean/Six Sigma environment. The ideal candidate must facilitate, participate, and drive Lean & Six Sigma projects, Continuous Improvement activities and Kaizen events. "Getting your hands" dirty is a must while coaching & teaching Lean principles.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm but may go outside of this window based on business needs.
Pay: Negotiable; based on experience and qualifications,

What you'll do
- Increase productivity, reduce lead times, reduce defects & waste, improve customer satisfaction, on time delivery, and maximize profitability.
- Lead plant wide cost savings programs to meet annual goals. This includes identification, validation, and execution of projects. Accountable to realize "real" savings targeted at about $500k/year.
- Continue to develop and nurture the Continuous Improvement culture.
- Train, mentor, and coach all employees on Lean & Six Sigma practices across all levels of the organization to deliver business results.
- Benchmark and share best practices across all remote operating facilities.

- Excel VBA programming skills are a plus.

- Evidence of apply the basics of Lean, including cellular manufacturing, one-piece flow, Kaizen, takt time, load leveling (Heijunka), pull systems (Kanban), setup reduction, value stream mapping & visual factory.
- Evidence of applying analytical concepts including DOE, sampling methods, process capability, measuring and modeling relationships between variables, hypothesis testing & statistical process control.
Experience Requirements:
- At least 6 years of direct experience leading/supporting lean manufacturing and/or a continuous improvement environment.
- At least 2 years of working in a manufacturing environment.
Education Requirements:
- Technical based bachelor's degree (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Industry recognized certification in Lean Manufacturing
- Industry recognized certification in Six Sigma methodology (Black Belt)
