Southwire Job Description

General Summary:

Individual is responsible for inbound and outbound sales activities including quoting prices and availability of products. In addition to: informing customers and agents on status of orders, backorders, and returns. Initiating Customer Service on customer complaints and discrepancies for customer credits or debits

General Description of Duties/Responsibilities:

·To provide phone support and account management assistance to Manager(s).

·Develop rapport with customers, serving as supporting contact as determined by account.

·Entering and expediting all customer orders into the system, including new orders, changes, and cancellations, etc.

·Analyzing customer orders for accuracy and contacting the customer for clarification or changes required.

·Monitor the shipment status of customers' orders. Take measures to complete orders by working with other Southwire DC or offering the customer a substitute product.

·Communicate and negotiate special requests, changes, urgencies, etc. to the customers and to management, manufacturing, and logistics.

·Works with other Account Managers as a team to make sure customer’s needs are met and customer satisfaction is high. Communicate personal schedule with team on vacations, appointments, meetings, etc. to ensure all responsibilities are covered. Manage the responsibilities of other team members in their absence.

·Act as a liaison with Manager and customers in order to meet and resolve needs.

·Keep Retail Commercial Team informed on status of orders, return material and customer concerns that may require further attention.

·Provide technical assistance to customers by answering their questions, or researching when answers are not immediately available.

·Initiate, monitor, and complete CSN’s on any customer complaints, debits, and requests to return product. Proactively communicate with customer’s Accounts Payables dept. on charge-backs to resolve issue fully.

·Resolve problems with a high level of customer service, focusing on customer satisfaction.

·Follow the Accounts Receivable Aging report and manage customers payments to keep credit available in their credit limit

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

1.High School diploma or equivalent required. Additional education valued.

2.Good Prior work history and attendance record necessary.

3.Prior secretarial, data entry, clerical, and/or phone answering experience desired.

4.Must have Windows experience, as well as being proficient with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, and/or Powerpoint)

5.Must have good speaking and writing skills

6.Ability to handle multiple tasks and willingness to accept new responsibilities is a plus.

7.Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of responsibility at Southwire, along with industry representatives, and customers.
