Job Title: Estimating Coordinator
Department: Cost Estimating
Summary Supports the Estimating Team on all sourcing/quoting requirements of materials, parts, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Coordinates all activities related to quoting of materials, parts, supplies or processes for customer request for quotes.
- Work with Estimating team to support quoting efforts from suppliers based on preliminary specifications, preferred supplier lists, and date request is needed.
- Work with management to evaluate proposals for the requested commodity.
- Investigates and/or interviews new potential suppliers to determine if they meet Loc requirements by program.
- Assures that the requested quotes are delivered on schedule from the supplier.
- Develop RFQ's by commodity, work with qualified suppliers to obtain costs as required by customer TDP and specifications.
- Manage and track all inbound and outbound request for quotes for the Estimating Team as required.
- Perform cost comparisons to determine lowest/optimized costs by commodity/part number.
- Update costed Bills of Material with approved supplier and pricing.
- Supports all repeat quote business as required.
- Supports Launch Team after PO award by working with Loc Purchasing and Engineering Teams to hand off all supplier quotes.
- Supports Estimating Manager to complete all customer RFQ's as required.

Government Procurement experience desired but not required.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
