Job Summary

If you're interested in a Mid-Level Seed Laboratory Technician job, then this is the best role for you. This position will provide support and assist in mass rearing of multiple insect species for lab and field research.

Job Description

• Insect colony maintenance (feeding, cleaning cages, diet prep, etc.).
• Greenhouse activities.
• Assisting with laboratory experiments.
• Supporting field research (data collection, weed removal, infesting trials, etc.).
• Following and maintaining the ISO Quality Management Standards.

Skills Required

• Ability to lift 45 pounds.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced global and multi-cultural environment.
• Biology, Agricultural (candidates that have worked on a farm / worked with livestock, zoo keepers, etc.) and/or lab experience required.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug screen.
• Students that have been in academic lab environment would be a good fit.
• Must have the ability to pass a physical and pulmonary fit test for respirator use.
• Wearing proper PPE and taking proper safety precautions while working in the lab and potentially field.
• Shift: 08:00 AM

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $16.00 to $24.00 per hour based on qualifications.
