Job description
(Gastroenterology
This Advanced Practice Provider will be a vital member of our gastroenterology team located at Budge Clinic Gastroenterology in Logan, UT. Our physicians and APPs diagnose and develop treatment plans for each patient based on the latest research and studies. The APP will provide care both in our outpatient clinic and inpatient at Logan Regional Hospital. It is anticipated they will see a variety of GI patients, providing care for the following conditions and symptoms.

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:
Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
Consultation with other healthcare providers;
Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.
Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Applicable certification from a recognized certifying organization such as American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Applicable experience as defined by position leadership.
