Job description
Technology is the foundation of our work, and it supports the work of every county employee. Be part of our Information Technology (IT) department to help us develop more effective applications to better serve our community. The IT development services unit within the IT enterprise development division is seeking two students to participate in a part-time IT internship as web software developer interns. The interns will actively engage in developing custom web applications, using Angular/Typescript on the Front End, and developing REST APIs, through C#, ASP, .Net. These positions requires a level 3 security check as a requirement for employment.

Location and hours:
These positions are remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site an average of 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. This internship will start in June 2024 and will last one year with the potential to extend on a case-by-case basis. This intern will work approximately 20 hours/week.
While these positions are designated as remote, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

Work in multiple aspects of creating and maintaining cloud-based enterprises applications: fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, upgrading frameworks, and implementing new applications through front and back-end design and development.
Participate in a diverse development team focused on collaboration and using agile development methodologies.
Refine and automate software development life cycle workflow using Microsoft Azure DevOps and GitHub.
