Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide the following psychology services at the request from a qualified member of the medical staff:
- Diagnostic testing
- Individual, group and family therapies
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment conferences
- Participate in program development and evaluation
- Provide such services within the timeframes established by hospital policy and medical staff rules and regulations
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions and evaluations as established by hospital policy and medical staff rules and regulations
- Assist the hospital CEO in the review of policies and procedures related to psychological services on an as needed basis
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in counseling psychology.
- Licensed by the state of Pennsylvania as a Pharmacologist.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention.
- Skills in administering psychological tests.
- Knowledge of adult and adolescent psychological disorders.
- Advanced principals of abnormal psychology.
- Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation
- Ability in maintaining information as highly confidential.
