Job description
Role: IT Solutions Architect
Location: Hybrid New York, NY / Pittsburgh, PA / Lake Mary, FL
Visa: USC and GC
Duration: 11+ Months (Contract on W2)
Interview Type: 2-3 Rounds
Description:
Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Engagement Manager
Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
Complete and co/implement a configuration workbook
Co-team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document
Individual will be expected to face off Engineering teams from storage, network, and compute teams. The objective is to collaborate with engineering and operations to define strategy for updating operating systems, hardware, storage and network infrastructure and appropriate software to ensure the bank currency in all infrastructure and software disciplines. Person will be expected to conduct regular reviews of the bank's asset inventory against contracts and licenses with our vendors and to confirm lifecycle dates and status.
Person will require experience to:
Help design new capabilities and enhance critical business processes to aid in the processes to drive the currency of our technology infrastructure and software.
Collaborate with data engineers, subject matter experts and developers across our global technology teams to build upgrade solutions focused on eliminating technology and financial risk to our stakeholder.
Assess technology initiatives and accelerate execution, working alongside technology leaders to ensure effective evaluation, design, implementation, and the management of our technology.
Leverage critical thinking & sharp critical thinking skills to guide the design & development of our infrastructure lifecycle design.
Craft and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership through data-driven analysis and visualization for executive decision making.
Additional preferred qualifications are:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent preferred
Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
Required Skills/Experience:
1. IT Infrastructure Design / Architecture
2. BI reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, QLK all nice to have)
3. Very good communication and presentation skills required.
Preferred Skills/ Experience:
1. SQL querying to access appropriate data from database
2. Experience in Excel including pivot tables and data analysis.
3. AI experience (a huge plus)
