Job description

Position Title: Core Assembler (3) Steel cutter/Stacker

Department: Core Department

Reports To: Core Department Supervisor

Overall Responsibility:

1. Operate the steel cutter and cutting steel according to spec. requirements.
2. Assemble Transformer legs and Reactor yokes according to the unit specifications.

Task and Responsibilities:

1. Set up the steel cutter(s) to cut core steel according to the spec.
2. Unload the steel cutter as required.
3. Stack the Transformer legs and reactor yokes according to the spec.
4. Check quality and label each leg/yoke.
5. Stage leg/yoke in designated location for the next process required.

Competencies Requirements:

1. Attention to detail.
2. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
3. Ability to use a square, tape measure, hand and power tools.
4. Ability to interpret shop drawings and work packet.
5. Positive self-motivated attitude.
