Job description

The Network Engineers role is to ensure the stability and integrity of inhouse voice data video and wireless network services throughout the global environment. This is achieved by planning designing and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition the Network Engineer will participate with the installation monitoring maintenance support and optimization of all network hardware software and communication links. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. *Please note we are not looking at sponsorship for this role at this time thank you.EducationBS in Information Technology/Computer Science or a twoyear technical degree with equivalent work experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes. Ensure network high availability/connectivity of all servers and related IT services. Manage related servers including database email print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Design and perform server and security audits system backup procedures and other recovery processes in accordance with the companys disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. Perform server and security audits and network recovery tests and assist in the creation of training programs for employees in the use of technology. Support SOX policies and procedures related to computer security. Lead root cause analysis for network issues and manage relationships with related service providers contract consultants and other vendors. Participate/lead IT infrastructure projects. Conduct research on network products services protocols and standards to remain abreast of developments in the industry.Other Job Functions Participate in the recommendation and development of the IT strategies related to the Global Network. Prepare corporate communication of IT Operational issues (e.g. service interruptions) as required. Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to IT Operations. Recommend process improvements to the IT development and production environment. Back up the IT Infrastructure staff as needed.
