Associate Channel Manager, Consumer Channel Merchandising Work Mode: Hybrid Opportunity As the Associate Channel Manager, Consumer Channel Merchandising, you will be responsible for the growth of a designated category (i.e., bathroom faucets, fixtures, cash & carry, etc.) across Kohler-owned selling channels. Role contribution includes developing the merchandise strategy, defining product assortments, initiating relevant consumer marketing for engagement and conversion, and ensuring impactful visual representation across consumer channels. This position is also responsible for managing the assortment, product programs, and business planning of products presented within the consumer channel, leveraging existing products and recommending procurement or development options. The Associate Channel Manager, Consumer Channel Merchandising will develop tactics to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize business performance and profitability by executing business plans that maximize sales, margins, and inventory turnover. As a foundational team member in a new position, the Associate Channel Manager, Consumer Channel Merchandising will have the opportunity to help create new processes and pathways of working; this is ideal for a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset. This role will work closely with the business teams along with Product Development, Ecommerce Digital Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Expansion, AID, Supply Chain and Marketing. Specific Responsibilities -Product Strategy & Development -Guide, develop and implement the annual consumer business strategies by category, refining assortments, identifying new product/category opportunities, and partnering on pricing and promotions for margin optimization. Develop key item guidelines and seasonal merchandise strategies that incorporate existing product display processes. -Demonstrate an understanding of the industry to inspire customers to purchase through presentation, pricing, design, and product development. Understand and address competitive barriers. -Maintain continuous awareness of competitive products, KOHLER portfolio, pricing, performance, and market share including trends in product design, architecture, interiors, living environments, etc. for the purpose of recommending product continuance or modifications, market potential, etc. -Install category management practices to provide a planning framework and financial direction. Deliver a perspective on visual merchandising design and ecommerce category pages to best inspire discovery and purchase by category, creating a consumer omni-channel experience. -Manage planning of products from kick-off through introduction into the market, creating product briefs for major introductions that are grounded in an understanding of consumer behavior, competitive offerings, and market trends and channel strategies. -Participate in annual strategic planning process to outline current and future opportunities for merchandising growth within channel and market differentiation, as well as category, product, innovation, and team development. -Product Execution & Brand Marketing: Provide vision on in-store display, online presentation, and marketing concepts, and provide input on product placement and brand packaging. Represent the brand with integrity and authority. Exhibit market awareness through knowledge of relevant brand's inspiration and reference points. Demonstrate the ability to understand and clearly communicate the brand aesthetic, design style, brand voice, and vision. -Demand & Inventory Planning: Based on consumer insights and data-based product performance, develop forecasts for category and products performance to inform demand insights and inventory investment. Analyze the business and react timely to impact inventory or merchandise changes, as necessary. Maximize markdown dollars and understand seasonality, measuring new product launches against discontinued products. -Channel Management: Develop product programs to support or adapt to retail store and ecommerce operations, partnering with teams to ensure execution and availability for maximum sales and turnover. Work across all channels to inspire the customer, drive traffic, conversion, and enhance the brand image and vision. -Reporting & Analytics: Build analytics suite to support Consumer Channel business, using existing databases to take out information on a regular basis and create standard dashboards for reporting key category performance indicators. Analyze performance against plans for both merchandise and merchandisers. -Pricing & Promotions Strategy: Develop processes and practices around pricing promotions and markdowns to meet sales and margin targets by channel and store segment. Skills/Requirements -Bachelor's degree in marketing, Retail Merchandising, or related field. -5+ years of omnichannel merchandising or consumer products experience across multiple channels of trade, wholesale, or retail. -Ability to plan, prepare, and execute strategic business plans. Demonstrated analytical and project management skills required. -Demonstrably creative thinker with strong written and oral communication skills with all levels of leadership and with outside contacts. -Ability to travel based on the needs of the business department. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
