Our hospital is nestled in the picturesque mountain community of Los Alamos, NM, surrounded by the majestic Jemez Mountains. Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician's orders.
- Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams.
- Select appropriate transducer and make equipment adjustments.
- Ensure completeness of physician requisitions.
- Implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
- Recognize and interpret visualized structures on the monitor.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARDMS (RVT), ARRT (VS), or CCI (RVS) registration.
- NM license to practice as a Sonographer.
