We are looking to increase our trust counsel team with experienced individuals who are experts in fiduciary planning including gift, trust, and estate, tax planning, investment management, domestic and international tax laws. You will also be working as a wealth planner working with the other law and accounting teammates to best formulate the course of action clients should take. Wealth Planning
- Work with client on review of estate and wealth transfer plans
- Collaborate with internal teams and outside professional advisors
- Be an expert and update team with changes in federal, state and local estate, gift and income tax laws; formulate strategies that alter client plans to new laws
- 10+ years of trust and planning experience in a legal or professional environment
- JD or LLM required
- Bar admission in relevant states required
- Cross-border planning experience preferred
- Knowledge of state-specific Trust laws, including NY, New Jersey, and other jurisdictions, preferred
- Network of professional advisor relationships to leverage and collaborate with
- Fluency across financial planning disciplines, including cash-flow planning, insurance and risk management, income tax planning and investment planning, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Base Salary: $250,000-$325,000
