Job description
Salary: $100,000 - 140,000/year
The selected candidate will typically report to the Service Delivery Lead responsible for Network & Telecom and work closely with other team members providing IT support to field/remote office. The main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Participates in the development and implementation of the network infrastructure in field offices, including physical and logical design of network and telecom infrastructure, analyzing existing network platforms and systems, and recommending solutions.
- Provides technical input in the design, installation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure including remote office LAN/WAN, AV/IT infrastructure, and network connectivity to cloud environments (i.e. AWS, Azure, and OCI, etc.), Telephony infrastructure, etc.
- Provides technical input and project leadership in the planning and managing field office network and AV/IT projects when opening new offices, upscaling, renovating, and relocations offices.
- Participates in the design and support of new network and AV/IT systems in Field offices.
- Ensures effective coordination with other IT support teams – IT systems engineers, IT security, as well as MSP support staff to ensure successful implementation of the new/upgraded network systems.
- Work closely with other stakeholders involved in remote office projects – CSF/GRE, Area department, Security, etc.
- Contribute to drafting of technical and business specifications and requirements for network equipment in accordance with technology trends, security, and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related Information Systems disciplines
- 10 years practical experience in corporate IT operations environment covering design, implementation and support of network systems preferred.
- 5 years hands-on experience working in field office IT support - installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networking technologies specifically Cisco Meraki SD-WAN platform.
- Solid grasp of all aspects of LAN and WAN operation, routing, topology, network protocols, active network, and point-to-point components, including, but not limited to: TCP/IP, VPN, routers, gateways, switches, firewalls, Ethernet Standards, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN, Cloud delivered firewalls, etc.
- Network Programmability skills with Meraki APIs(using python or any language) and ability to automate regular network tasks.
- Ability to develop network topology, wire diagram, and document detailed lab test plans and reports.
