Responsibilities
- Responsible for all electrical maintenance and repair on labeling/packaging equipment.
- Perform other equipment maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical related problems on Case & Label machines.
- Analyze and diagnose electrical control circuits and motor power circuits.
- Stay current on electrical codes and OSHA regulations.
- Adjust or repair equipment as needed for efficient operation.
- Ensure safety rules and regulations are being followed.
- Complete preventative maintenance and PM surveys as scheduled.
- Assist with the supervision and training of new machine operators.
- Complete line changovers and shift start-ups in a timely manner.
- Fabricate replacement parts if necessary.
Qualifications
- Some post-high school education or training is beneficial.
- 2-3 year certificate from college/ techncial school preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Good maintenance skills including use of hand tools, power tools, welder, cutting torch, pneumatics, & hydraulics.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally with management and with fellow employees.
- Must have the ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull varying weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes in awkward positions,
- The job requires extensive walking, climbing, and some crawling.
- Able to use laptop computer for PLC diagnostics.
- Basic knowledge of lathe and shop fabricating equipment.
